Intercessions February 11, 2018

INTERCESSIONS. SIXTH SUNDAY in ORDINARY TIME [B]. February 11th., 2018.

Priest: Let us pray for the Church and the world through Jesus Christ, who seeks to bring to his side all those whom the world rejects.

Reader: For all Christians, that we may seek to build up the Father’s Kingdom, a Kingdom of universal love, justice and peace, let us pray to the Lord [pause]:
Lord, have mercy: Lord, have mercy.

For those who have known rejection, especially those alienated from their families, that they may experience reconciliation, let us pray to the Lord [pause]:
Lord, have mercy: Lord, have mercy.

For those who suffer in conflicts which the world ignores, especially in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and in Yemen, that they may know peace, let us pray to the Lord [pause]:
Lord, have mercy: Lord, have mercy.

For all those who suffer from contagious diseases, that compassionate hands may come to touch them, let us pray to the Lord [pause]:
Lord, have mercy: Lord, have mercy.

May Mary, Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us all, and especially for the sick and for those who go on pilgrimage to her shrine:

SUB TUUM PRAESIDIUM
To thee do we fly for protection, O holy Mother of God;
Despise not our petitions in our necessities,
but deliver us always from all dangers,
O glorious and blessed Virgin Mary, Amen.

Let us pray in silence for our own intentions [silence]:

Priest: Heavenly Father, may your Holy Spirit support us as we
pray, that we may be truly grateful for the undeserved gifts which we receive from your hands, and may use them for the good of the world; this we ask in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
